Purrysburg Indoor Pool Closed for Maintenance
The Purrysburg indoor pool is temporarily closed as staff works to repair the motor. Work is expected to be completed Monday. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as repairs are made.

Road Testing Work 

Please be aware of roadwork that will be ongoing throughout the community during upcoming weeks. All roads will be tested by engineers for upcoming maintenance. Workers will be taking samples from the roads, scanning for cracks and measuring the thickness of the roads. This work will allow the Community Association to create a road map for maintenance over the next five years. There will be no road closures during this work, but please be cautious while driving during this time.

Villa Termite Inspection
Terminix Service technicians will perform termite inspections in the Egret Cove and Summerplace Villas between 1-4 p.m. according to the schedule below. Residents should be available within the timeframe so the technicians can gain access to your property.
 
If there is a conflict with dates or times, please call the Terminix Office at (843) 987-2847 one week after your scheduled appointment to make other arrangements. The schedule is below:
 
July 23: Norton Court, McKay Lane, odd-numbered villas on Argent Place
July 24: Even-numbered villas on Argent Place
July 25: Even-numbered Summerplace Villas
July 26: Odd-numbered Summerplace Villas

The Sun Today Offered at Two Locations
Extra copies of the weekly newspaper The Sun Today are now available in Pinckney Hall and Palmetto Commons. Grab a cup of coffee from Pinckney Perk and enjoy it as you read your newspaper. The Sun Today, designed and written for the community through a partnership between the Community Association and Gatehouse Media, is a free newspaper that mixes Sun City feature stories with Lowcountry, state and national news.

Pool Policy Reminder
Summer is in full swing and it’s the busiest time of year at Sun City’s pools. To ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience, residents are reminded that strollers are permitted on the pool decks during children’s pool hours only, and kiddie pools are not permitted on the pool decks at any time.

Joe Zavada had a hole-in-one July 5 at Okatie Creek Golf Course on hole 17 for 108 yards. He used a 9 iron. This event was witnessed by John Hurley, Frank McCardle and Jeff Zavada.
 
William “Bill” Syling had a hole-in-one July 5 at Okatie Creek Golf Course on hole 17 for 130 yards. He used a 7 iron. This event was witnessed by Guy York.
 
Susan Hencken had a hole-in-one July 10 at Hidden Cypress Golf Course on hole 7 for 79 yards. She used a 7 iron. This event was witnessed by Betty Smith.

Mark your calendar for The Best of Menopause the Musical at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 26 at Magnolia Hall. This hilarious comedy about women who have gone through “the change” will have you laughing and singing in your seat all night. This performance is free and open to all Sun City residents.
