Memorial Day Office Closures, Guest Info

Community Association offices will be closed Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day. Fitness centers will be open from 8 a.m.–2 p.m. Guests may use the fitness center for free from Friday, May 26 through Monday, May 29. The Lakehouse Fitness Center will be open normal hours from 6 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday, May 29, with staff available from 8 a.m.–2 p.m. It will be self-use for residents only from 2 p.m.–10 p.m.; guests may use Purrysburg and Hidden Cypress fitness centers during this time. Residents can obtain guest ID cards at any fitness center or Palmetto Commons.

Please remember to obtain a gate pass for friends or relatives who will be visiting your home during the Memorial Day holiday. Simply reserve your guest pass by calling the Main Gate at (843) 705-4035 and providing the guests’ names, your name and activity number. Riverbend residents may call (843) 379-5528 for a guest pass. Purrysburg Fitness Center Closed in June for Renovations
Renovations to the Purrysburg Fitness Center locker rooms will begin Monday, June 5 with the work estimated to continue for about four weeks. The fitness center will be closed during construction. It is suggested, if possible, to use the other fitness centers in the afternoons when there is greater availability for most of the cardio equipment. There will be no orientations at Purrysburg Fitness Center in June.

Staff will be on property 6 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday to monitor the indoor pool and aerobics classes. The indoor pool will be open for self-use hours from 6 a.m.–6 p.m. Sunday without staff on property. Bring a buddy to be safe or use a pool that is staffed.

The group water and land exercises classes will continue. The land classes will check-in at the front desk and go directly to the aerobics room as the entire gym will be closed and blocked off.

The water classes will check-in with a staff member at the back pool door closest to the croquet greens. Cash and member charges will be available for class payment at the back pool door. If you plan to pay by credit card, you will need to pay at the front desk, take your receipt and show it to the staff member at the back pool door.

Interval Circuit Training (ICT) will not be available during the renovation. After much discussion, it was not possible to move the sessions. Instead, receive a free group exercise card to attend any of the group exercise classes for free at any location. ICT cards will be activated when the center reopens. ICT trainers will be working as trainers on the floor at the other fitness centers during the times they normally would work the ICT program.

The Purrysburg Indoor Pool will remain open as so many residents rely on that pool. Access the pool through the back doors, and staff will be on site from 6 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. –6 p.m. Saturday. The pool will be open for self-use hours from 6 a.m.–6 p.m. Sundays without staff on property. Restrooms will be available at the Logo Building or the Yemassee Crafts Center, so please plan ahead!
